The PassportCorner

Passport photos for legal use like Passport, Visa, ID, etc. must comply with the country's regulations. Each country have its own regulations as specified below , but most countries have the following basic rules: Recent photo taken in the last 6 months and showing current appearance. Full face, front. Eyes should not be obscurred by glasses and eye color should be apparent. Make sure there are no red-eyes. Mouth closed, no smiling and neutral expression. Background color, usually white or light, uniform color with no other objects including doors, windows, etc. Some countries have more specific requirements regarding background color. See details in the links below. Do not wear a hat or headgear that obscures the hair or hairline. No Shadows on the subject or background. To avoid shadows on the background the subject should stand 1-3 ft (0.3-1 meters) away from the background. To avoid shadown on the subject the camera should be positioned approximately 4 ft (1.2 meters) away from the subject.
