Hillary Clinton ducked a thrown shoe, expressed surprise, cracked a couple of jokes that drew applause and continued her keynote speech on stage in front of a Las Vegas convention audience.

Hillary Clinton wist tijdens een speech knap een schoen te omzeilen die in haar richting werd gegooid. Het voorval gebeurde in een hotel-casino in Las Vegas, tijdens een bijeenkomst over recycling. Clinton, die zich mogelijk kandidaat gaat stellen voor de presidentsverkiezingen van 2016, dook weg en maakte er vervolgens een grapje over.

Glowing Lines.

In Oss, in The Netherlands is the first motorway that is equipped with a smart novelty, which absorbs light during the day and releases it in the evening and night. The lines, also called 'glowing lines', is on a trial basis. The idea for the lines comes from artist Daan Roosegaarde. According to him, the "glowing lines' is a good solution, now on some highways the lights going out at night.

Bij Oss is de eerste autoweg uitgerust met markering die overdag licht absorbeert en dat in het donker weer afgeeft. De belijning, ook wel 'glowing lines' genoemd, is bij wijze van proef aangebracht op 500 meter van de N329. 

Het idee voor de belijning komt van kunstenaar Daan Roosegaarde. Volgens hem zijn de 'glowing lines' een goede oplossing nu op sommige snelwegen de verlichting 's nachts uitgaat.
